Semeen Akhter is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited (EPQL) effective 1st May 2023. Semeen Joined Engro Energy in January 2023 as VP Business Development and has stewarded and accelerated work on development of the 400MW hybrid renewable project. She is also working on business development prospects focused on waste-to-energy, mineral mining, and alternate fuel opportunities.

Semeen has over 20 years of diverse professional experience spanning multiple industries and geographies including the Middle East, South Asia, Europe, USA, Brazil, and Australia. She has expertise in business development, defining new business models and strategies, data driven analytics and marketing, & supply chain technologies.

Semeen holds Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from NED University and an MBA from Institute of Business Administration (Karachi). She is an ardent supporter of digital future technologies with a focus on Remote Operations, Factory of the Future, industrial IOT, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data Analytics (Industry 4.0)
