Mohammad Yasir Khan currently serves as the Company Secretary & Head of Board Secretariat at Engro Corporation. He joined Engro in 2018 in the Corporate Strategy division and subsequently established and led the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) function at Engro Corporation.

As the M&A lead and later as General Manager Investments, Yasir evaluated numerous capital deployment opportunities across Engro’s business verticals, particularly in the telecom infrastructure and energy space. He has played a pivotal role in recommending and executing various strategic portfolio moves, including Engro’s PKR 11.5 billion share buyback program. From 2020 to 2023, Yasir also served as Secretary to Engro Corporation’s Steering Committee for Capital Allocation and the Board Investment Committee.

Before joining Engro, Yasir gained extensive experience at renowned financial institutions such as Bank Alfalah Limited and AKD Securities Limited. While working for these institutions, he developed expertise in investment banking, M&A advisory, capital markets, and portfolio management. He holds deal credentials of over USD 1.2 billion, including IPOs, M&A, TFCs/Sukuks, and Rights Issues.

Yasir also serves as a Director on the Board of Engro Powergen Thar (Private) Limited. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Management.
