Mr. Muhammad Waseem is currently the Additional Chief Secretary (Development) in the Planning and Development Department of Government of Sindh. He has extensive experience of around 27 years in Public Administration. Mr. Waseem has served in various capacities in both federal and provincial government positions.

Prior to this position, Waseem served as Chief Secretary in the General Administration Department, Home Department, and Finance department of Government of Sindh. He was the Project Director in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and also served as Counselor for Welfare and Labor in the Consulate General of Pakistan and UAE. Furthermore, Waseem enjoyed prominent positions in different departments like Social Welfare, Transportation, Agriculture, Provincial Election Authority, etc. Federally, he served as Assistant Director of Finance in Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA). Waseem holds a Masters in Business Administration (Finance) from the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi, an LL.B and M.A with a specialization in Mathematical Economics and Development Economics from the University of Karachi.
